Welcome to our special unit for all things Miguel Alvarez and Ryan O'Reily of the HBO series Oz. Though we primarily ship them together here, anything featuring either of them is welcomed, whether it's other slash pairings, het, or gen, be that fanfiction, fanart, questions, discussions or theories, or anything else you can think of!
Fics in a language other than English are also welcomed here!
As Oz's original rating was 18+, this community is 18+.
Rules:
- Be kind.Shanks must be left at the door.
- Put the text of any fic behind a cut, even drabbles. Doesn't matter how short it is, someone may not want to read it, just let them scroll past in peace. Those who want to read will have no problems expanding your post to do so.
To make a cut, just use
You can of course opt to just post a link to your fic/drabble instead, if you prefer. If you archive your work to AO3, feel free to also post it to this comm's collection!
- Every fic must have a header before the cut/link. Title, pairing or characters involved, summary or little excerpt, plus language if not in English. Like what you'd post on an archive to incite people to come read.
- Due to the nature of the show and this comm being 18+, ratings and warnings should perhaps be optional, but you are strongly encouraged to use AO3's system for the sake of your fellow Ozzies. (Not all of use are comfortable with nefarious spoon usages.)
That means at least going the Not Rated + Choose Not To Warn route—knowing some people might avoid your fic/art/whatever just in case.
If you feel like being more precise, warning for Major Character Death or Rape/Non-Con should be sufficient, especially if you also use ratings.
- Anything big (graphics, questions or theories larger than an average paragraph, etc) also needs to go behind a cut. Again—expanding post is easy!
- There is no such thing as a stupid question. Want to ponder how Ryan cooks those chicken nuggets? Go for it!
- Have fun! That's what we're all here for!
Some old screencaps of our guys can be found here, to take and use as you wish! (Squidge Images Hosting is a good free place to host your fandom graphics, by the way, if you don't have one.)
